Ring Cycle

Wagner’s Ring

The Ring Cycle is an epic series of four operas by the composer Richard Wagner. Wagner conceived of them as three operas with a preliminary evening (the first opera). Characters and themes recur in each opera, creating a distinct fictional world with a common narrative. It has become one of the most influential works of art in Western culture.
