Wagner conceived of them as three operas with a preliminary evening (the first opera). Characters and themes recur in each opera, creating a distinct fictional world with a common narrative. It has become one of the most influential works of art in Western culture.<\/p>\r\n<br>\r\n<h2>How to use this database<\/h2>\r\n<p>This site is meant to be a repository of very basic information about the Ring Cycle.
